First, you can lower your health somehow (throw a grenade, get shot by an enemy, etc.). Then open Cheat Engine’s memory scanner and and search for all instances of your health value (lets say you got it down to 46.3). Then keep lowering your health until you can eliminate all but one reference in the memory scanner’s initial results.

I meant the pointer of the health value.

  1. Check the game version – If AssaultCube updated, the health pointer may have changed.
  2. Scan deeper – Try pointer scans with 2-3 levels in Cheat Engine sometimes it’s not just one offset.
  3. Rescan after restart – If the game or PC rebooted, the old pointer path might be invalid.
  4. Try nearby values – Search for ammo or armor first they might lead you to health.

What tool are you using Cheat Engine? Let me know what you’ve tried so far and I can help narrow it down.

Yes, my response will find the pointer to the health value.

no it will literally only give you the address of the health value not a ptr to it?

its prolly also inside the player class so ig the real way to do this is to get all RTTI’s(class informer is great) then just search for a player looking like RTTI and then xref the vftable to find the constructor and then see where it gets stored in memory and if its stored into static memory then thats just the local player pointer which you then just read and offset by health offset

a dynamic approach is also possible with just scanning for the local player class that youve gotten via dynamic analyzing by using a method like the one you described before to get the health address then you can just bp the mem RW operations and see which instructions access the health and since its accessing a member of the player class you will just see the offset so you then do health addy - offset = player class and then just scan for references of that class

uintptr_t health_addr; //address you got using ce
int* ptr_to_health = (int*)health_addr; // im assuming health is int idk assaultcube
*ptr_to_health = 69; //change health
